TUT is the abbreviation for Tshwane University of Technology, the largest residential university of technology in the country and an institution truly in service of the South African community.

At TUT we offer almost 114 career options at one University. Yes! A prospective student has the option to choose from a large variety of courses that will ensure a stimulating career awaits you once successfully graduated.

Seven faculties and eight campuses. These campuses and faculties are:

   Faculty of the Arts (based at the Arts Campus, Pretoria CBD) 


   Faculty of Humanities (based at the Soshanguve North Campus) 


   Faculty of Economics and Finance (based at Ga-Rankuwa Campus) 


   Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (based at Pretoria Campus) 


   Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (based at Sohanguve South Campus) 


   Faculty of Management Sciences (based at Pretoria Campus) 


   Faculty of Science (based at Arcadia Campus, Pretoria CBD) Three distant campuses situated in the following provinces:

All faculties offer a broad range of diplomas and degree courses for prospective students to choose from – more than 70% of which are also offered at a postgraduate level. 


TUT is the only university of technology in South Africa accredited to offer an MBA programme at the TUT Business School. 


   The Directorate Sport offers a large variety of sporting codes at all TUT campuses with excellent training facilities. TUT sportsmen and women, including coaches and administrators, annually represent the country at national and international competitions. 


   The Disability Unit provides academic support to students with disabilities and also support academic departments in this regard. 


   Six well equipped health and wellness clinics provide basic health care to students. 


   Students wishing to be accommodated in residences during their study period can be assure that residence life at TUT will be one to remember. TUT has a large number of well-equipped residences creating a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. 


   An active student life forms part of the complete TUT experience. The University provides a wide range of student development and support programmes that are relevant to the needs and aspirations of students. These activities and programmes include drama, choir, poetry competitions, Mr & Miss TUT pageants, talent shows and spiritual centres.
