On October 14, 2020, RUDN University will hold a meeting of the International Governing Board (IGB) of the BRICS Network University in distance format

On October 14, 2020, RUDN University will hold a meeting of the International Governing Board (IGB) of the BRICS Network University in distance format.

The meeting will be attended by representatives of the Ministries of Education (Science) of the BRICS NU member countries, as well as representatives of the BRICS NU members of each BRICS NU National Coordinating Committee (NCC BRICS NU).

The BRICS NU IGB is the principal integral body responsible for the activities and development, including outcome assessment of the BRICS NU.

During the Russian meetings of the NCC BRICS NU, the participants designed drafts of the Conception of functioning and development of the BRICS Network University and Roadmap for the short and medium terms. After that, drafts of the documents were considered by all participants of the BRICS NU at the meetings of the International Thematic Groups for further approval by the International Governing Council of the BRICS Network University.

The agenda of the meeting of the International Governing Board of the BRICS Network University includes:

·         The main results of the BRICS Network University in 2015-2020

·         The Road Map of the BRICS Network University for the short and medium term

·         The Concept of the BRICS Network University Operation And Development

 

Information

BRICS Network University (hereinafter – BRICS NU) is a union of educational institutions of higher education of the BRICS countries which implement cooperation (hereinafter – BRICS NU participants). The BRICS NU activities will make a contribution to forming a new generation of high-qualified and motivated specialists with critical thinking, who are able to implement innovations when dealing with economic and social issues, who have skills of interacting in a multinational and multilingual environment, who are able to combine scientific and applied knowledge using state-of-the-art technologies.

Currently, the Consortium includes 56 leading universities from 5 BRICS member states: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
